"We have already completed 65 mining projects in 15 countries—we can produce all types of mining structures and mechanical plate work. Our capacity and skill is fine, but we need bigger projects and more of them..."

The Critical Role of Future Mining

Modern Group has seen a sharp increase in mining projects over the past five years. Our company is very interested in mining and welcomes all communication from mining groups.

For the international community to reach Net-Zero emissions, something huge must happen with mining. China, the United States, and the European Union agreed to reduce approximately 76% of global emissions. Three thousand businesses and financial institutions across a thousand cities have joined the cause with educational and financial institutions to halve global emissions by 2030 and become Net-Zero by 2050.

However, these targets are highly dependent on minerals. Batteries are the most significant growth sector for minerals demand. About 50% of mineral demand links to battery-powered vehicles and will account for 90% of battery demand growth. Stationary storage will account for another 10%, used for wind and solar power.

Estimates indicate that meeting supply demands will require the construction of over 400 new mines. These mines include 50 lithium mines, 60 nickel mines, and 17 cobalt mines. The complete list of minerals required for energy storage includes Graphite, Nickel, Cobalt, Manganese, Lead, Lithium, Vanadium, Aluminum, Iron, Chromium, Copper, Zinc, Indium, Molybdenum, Neodymium, Silver, and Titanium.
